Are you looking for a way to remove featured image meta box? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to remove featured image meta box in WordPress.
It’s difficult to remove certain meta boxes in the admin section. By changing the action to admin_head
you can remove those tricky meta boxes you have no use for.
Instructions:
All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s functions.php file or in a site-specific plugin:
function remove_meta_boxes() { remove_meta_box('postimagediv', 'events', 'side'); } add_action('admin_head','remove_meta_boxes'); //admin_init & admin_menu don't work for certain meta boxes
