How to Display a Post’s Custom Field Only IF the Custom Field Exists

Are you looking for a way to display a post’s custom field only if the custom field exists? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to display a post’s custom field only if the custom field exists.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s single.php file:

<?php if( get_post_meta($post->ID, "QWERTY", true) ): ?>
<?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, "QWERTY", $single = true); ?>
<?php else: ?>
<!-- something can go here if you don't have the custom field, but it's optional -->
<?php endif; ?>	

Replace ‘QWERTY’ with the name of your custom field in above code.
