Are you looking for a way to show statistics like DB queries in the footer of your website? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to display DB queries, time spent, and memory consumption in WordPress.
Instructions:
All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s functions.php file or in a site-specific plugin:
function performance( $visible = false ) { $stat = sprintf( '%d queries in %.3f seconds, using %.2fMB memory', get_num_queries(), timer_stop( 0, 3 ), memory_get_peak_usage() / 1024 / 1024 ); echo $visible ? $stat : "<!-- {$stat} -->" ; } add_action( 'wp_footer', 'performance', 20 );
Note: If this is your first time adding code snippets in WordPress, then please refer to our guide on how to properly copy / paste code snippets in WordPress, so you don’t accidentally break your site.
