Display Search Terms from Google Users

Do you want to display a custom welcome message and search terms for users coming from Google search? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to display search terms from Google users in WordPress.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s index.php file:

	$refer_string = parse_url($refer, PHP_URL_QUERY);
	parse_str($refer_string, $vars);
	$search_terms = $vars['q'];
	echo 'Welcome Google visitor! You searched for the following terms to get here: ';
	echo $search_terms;
};
?>
