Hide All Slugs

Snippets by IsItWP

Are you looking for a way to hide all slugs from the post editor admin page? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to hide all slugs in WordPress.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s functions.php file or in a site-specific plugin:

function hide_all_slugs() {
global $post;
$hide_slugs = "<style type=\"text/css\"> #slugdiv, #edit-slug-box { display: none; }</style>";
print($hide_slugs);
}

add_action( 'admin_head', 'hide_all_slugs'  );

Note: If this is your first time adding code snippets in WordPress, then please refer to our guide on how to properly add code snippets in WordPress, so you don’t accidentally break your site.

    Not very secure if you *really* want to disable the ability for users to edit post slugs.

    How could I prevent users from editing post slugs?
