Are you looking for a way to protect wp-config.php file with .htaccess in WordPress? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to protect wp-config.php with .htacess file.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s .htaccess file:


<files wp-config.php>
order allow,deny
deny from all
</files>
