How to Remove the ‘Delete’ Option from the Payment List Quick Action

Are you looking for a way to remove the ‘Delete’ option from the payment list quick action? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to remove the Delete option from the payment list quick action in Easy Digital Downloads.

This will require a fine tuning of the user roles, typically handled in a plugin change current_user_can( 'delete_shop_payment' ) to adjust who can and can’t use this option.

Instructions:

All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s functions.php file or in a site-specific plugin:

function ck_edd_remove_payment_delete_action( $row_actions, $payment ) {
    if ( !current_user_can( 'delete_shop_payment' ) )
        unset( $row_actions['delete'] );
    return $row_actions;
}
add_filter( 'edd_payment_row_actions', 'ck_edd_remove_payment_delete_action', 10, 2 );
