Are you looking for a way to replace image URIs to CDN URIs within your XML sitemap? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to replace WordPress SEO image URIs in XML sitemaps for CDN.
Instructions:
All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s functions.php file or in a site-specific plugin:
function yst_cdn_filter( $uri ) { if ( ( defined( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG' ) && SCRIPT_DEBUG ) ) { return $uri; } return str_replace( 'http://example.com', 'http://cdn.example.com', $uri ); } add_filter( 'wpseo_xml_sitemap_img_src', 'yst_cdn_filter' );
Be sure to change the default URIs within the snippet from http://example.com
and http://cdn.example.com
to your own URIs.
Note: If this is your first time adding code snippets in WordPress, then please refer to our guide on how to properly add code snippets in WordPress, so you don’t accidentally break your site.
